So it’s been a busy week or two. I finally ran my first marathon, London, in a time of 4:33. Quite a bit slower than my target but in the end I’m actually quite happy. To be honest, I wish I’d listened to everyone’s advice and ignored time for this first one. It is just about getting round and enjoying it, something which is difficult when your focused on an ambitious target.
All in all, it wasn’t my greatest run but at the end of the day I ran 26.2 miles, more than a lot of people and certainly more than I ever thought possible when I started 2 years ago.
I now know I really can do anything of I put my mind to it!
So don’t sit there and think about it, just do it. If I can run a marathon I’m pretty sure anyone can!
